Information on the rules for participating nations

The new ISSF rules (V2 ISSF Rules 2026 DRAFT.pdf) are currently only available as a draft. The official version is still pending, so changes may still be made.

In the rules for clothing for rifle shooting, some points in the new rules are described very unclearly, cannot be reliably measured, and are currently not applicable for athletes. 

New clothing that complies with the rules is currently not available in stores. 

Athletes are therefore forced to comply with the new rules by damaging or specially altering their clothing.

The new ISSF rules are also unclear on certain points for pistol shooters, specifically the grips. 

Until the start of the 2026 H&N Cup, we therefore see no way for athletes to prepare for the new rules on jackets, pants, and grips. 

On December 23, 2026, the ESC Presidium decided to apply the ISSF Rules Edition 2022 (Issue 01/2023) for the European Championships in February.

The H&N Cup OrgTeam will follow the ESC's decision and apply the ISSF Rules Edition 2022 (Edition 01/2023) for the H&N Cup.

Exception:

The OrgTeam has decided to apply the new finals (ISSF Rules Edition 2026 (6.17/6.18.3)).
